How to Quote a Cantilever Rack System

A Cantilever Rack System is an open system comprised of straight or inclined arms perfectly suited for storing long, heavy, bulky inventory that is not convenient to store on typical pallet rack systems.

A Cantilever Rack System is an efficient way to store large flat items such as lumber or furniture, or round items such as pipes or tubing. Cantilever rack is easily accessible by forklift and can be installed back to back or against a wall.

Following is the standard information we ask our customers when quoting a Cantilever Pallet Rack System:

•Does the customer need single sided or double sided cantilever rack?

•What is the product being stored? What are the dimensions WxDxH and the weight?

•How much space is available or how many bays would they like? Will the bays be adjoined or individual?

•How many levels will need to be stored including the base? Note: the base of the cantilever uprights can be used for storage.

•Does the customer need straight arms or inclined arms?

•Is there a preference for Roll Form or Structural cantilever?

•Is the customer matching up to existing cantilever? If yes, who is the manufacturer? Are there pictures available?

Cantilever rack tends to be more unique than teardrop pallet rack and finding a match may not be easy.  It is important to get as much information about the customer’s existing material along with pictures to determine if it is still manufactured.
