Even though forklift drivers are trained to be safe and precise, accidents still happen. If a pallet is placed too far back onto the rack, it could tip or even fall onto walkways, causing a hazardous environment for the employees. Likewise, if a pallet load is pushed beyond the pallet rack that is close to a wall, it could damage the wall surface and surrounding property. A pallet load stop beam provides an extra layer of warehouse safety by providing a firm stop, that indicates to the driver that they have reached the back of the system.
Ridg-U-Rak manufactures an adjustable bolted load stop beam with a connector that can be punched for a 2”, 4” and 6” offset that attaches to the uprights, just above beam level. Your customer can choose which works best in each bay.
What applications could benefit from a pallet load stop beam? Virtually any that have large palletized loads. If your customer has pallet storage in a freezer setting, the beams will protect the walls from damage, thus protecting the refrigeration system itself. Stop beams also keep the warehouse setting neat and orderly by assuring that all pallets are flush and in line.
