WPRP was proud to sponsor Alex’s Lemonade Stand through a Team Building 5K in the beautiful Pocono Mountains on October 19, 2014. The Scarecrow 5K Walk/Run is an annual event that sponsors a different organization every year. People of all ages and abilities came together to walk, run and raise money for this wonderful and worthy cause. Alex’s Lemonade Stand was founded by 4 year old Alexandra Scott, on a mission to cure childhood cancer. More than $80 million has been raised to date, which has been used to fund over 450 research projects. During Alex’s short life, she truly showed the world that one (small) person can touch the lives of so many, and her spirit lives on through this organization.
