Everyone knows that time flies when you’re having fun and it has absolutely rocketed by since we opened our doors at the end of August! The WPRP Team has been working very hard to get our facility up and running and the results are remarkable. The warehouse itself is almost unrecognizable from where it began a few months ago. The exterior was literally a tangle of overgrown brush and poison ivy, that doubled as a play area for the neighborhood bear. That’s no joke! Mr. Bear liked to hop the fence, so repairs had to be made to that as well. Days were spent cutting back the gnarly trees, bushes and weeds as well as hauling away the trash and debris that was hidden underneath. The interior has had quite a facelift, including a new office space sporting a window with a view. The restrooms were cleaned and updated and a kitchen area was also added, as well as fresh paint inside and out.

It takes a great team to pull everything together in such a short period of time and WPRP is all about teamwork! Dale took great care in blowing out the layers of dust and dirt that had accumulated in the parking lot and Rich power washed until the place sparkled. James spent a week at the warehouse helping organize the first deliveries and shipments and Josh and Linda had their hands in everything, top to bottom, from day one, while Jackie held down the fort.

There is an outbuilding on the property that was a local watering hole, Linda’s Hideaway. The business opened in 2001 and operated for approximately 5 years. Plans for that building are still in the works, as well as continuous improvements to the warehouse.

After the close of the furniture business, Rosen’s Warehouse housed a sustainable recycling business, CPR – Community Partners in Recycling. Charlie Cahn strives every day to truly make the world a better place through this business, from his employees to the service that they provide to the community. Since acquiring the building this summer, Josh, Linda and Charlie have had a great partnership that has enabled CPR and their good works to remain in a portion of the warehouse. Josh and Linda immediately saw the value that Charlie and CPR provided to the community, so they came up with a plan to share the warehouse with him, while using a majority of the space for the massive inventory of pallet rack and wire decking.

WPRP - East Stroudsburg, PAThe WPRP Team has also been busy making connections in the community. They have attended a local Rotary Meeting, joined the Eastern PA Better Business Bureau and the Chamber of Commerce. They took part in the 2015 United Way Day of Caring and have established new relationships with vendors in the local area. Josh and Linda recorded two new Would You Like Fries With That videos and to date, more than half a million pounds of steel has been received into the warehouse, resulting in many orders going out.

It has been a busy month at the newest WPRP Quick Ship location in East Stroudsburg, PA and we are loving it! Stay tuned for more to come from this thriving location.
