WPRP Volunteers for Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity.

On May 10th, 2010 WPRP became part of a solution of stable housing in our neighborhoods.

How did we do it? With a brush and hard work.

We spent the day in Hopkins, MN working with a group of volunteers. The day started at 8:30 am with a short orientation and a brief history of the house and how it has progressed to this point. Once we grabbed our brushes and paint we were off to the roof to start caulking and painting the outside of the house. We actually stood on top of the roof of the second story as we put the 1st and 2nd coat on in it’s final stages. We completed everything except for the back of the house before wrapping things up around 4:30. Habitat hosted an open house and handed the keys over to the new home owners Saturday May 15th. We had fun and met some very interesting people as well as learning a few things along the way.

WPRP would like to thank all those that volunteered and helped make this home available through the Homeownership program. WPRP will be working on a new house this fall stay tuned for new photos.
