From March 9-12, thousands of material handling and supply chain professionals will descend on Atlanta, Ga. and the World Congress Center for the 2020 edition of MODEX.

There are many reasons to attend the show – which is one of the premier events for material handling professionals. From networking to education, and even seeing the latest solutions and trends, there’s something for everybody attending MODEX. Need more convincing? On-Floor Seminars

Attendees have the choice of 175 free, on-floor seminars on a variety of topics, including:

– Workforce and Labor

There is something for all professionals of all material handling experience levels, including beginner, intermediate and advanced education material. Networking Events

If you’re looking to meet new industry peers, or reconnect with long-time connections, attending MODEX gives you several options to do so. Some of these options require pre-registration or have a fee attached to them, so be sure to check the Networking Events page on the MODEX website.

MHI Industry Night

Comedian Hasan Minhaj headlines the MHI Industry Night event on Wednesday, March 11. Live music, food, drinks, and other entertainment are part of the program, and a luxury vacation package ($30,000) to the location of the winner’s choosing will be given away. You can purchase tickets, here.

MODEX Backyard

The MODEX backyard is a space that can be utilized to catch your breath after a long day of activity. Features in this area include:

– Faux Firepit and s’more station
– Puppy petting
– Pitching simulator
– Food trucks
– Green screen booth
– Video wall
– Performance pavilion
– Cornhole
– Golf simulator
– A seating area with high-top tables

Women in Supply Chain Industry Forum

Mary Kelly, Ph.D., CSP, CDR, US Navy (Ret.) will lead an afternoon session on being a leader of leading change on Monday, March 9. This is a pre-registration event with a fee (early bird pricing is available until Jan. 31).

MHI Young Professionals Networking

If you’re new to the industry, or early in your career, the young professionals event is a great opportunity to meet others at similar spots in their material handling or supply chain careers. The event takes place Monday, March 9 at 5 p.m., and pre-registration is not required. Admittance is your MODEX 2020 badge.

Keynote Addresses

MODEX 2020 has put together a well-regarded list of presenters for the educational portion of the show. Keynote addresses and topics include:

MHI CEO George W. Prest
Prest will be previewing the 2020 MHI Annual Industry Report with a panel of industry peers and analysts on Wednesday, March 11.

Former NFL Quarterbacks Peyton and Archie Manning
The Mannings will present on the power of teamwork, collaboration, preparation and giving back on Wednesday, March 11.

Founder and CEO of EMOTIV Tan Lee
Lee will be discussing automation, AI and how they will be part of an extended, augmented human organism that could impact supply chains on Tuesday, March 10.

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley
Haley will talk about her personal journey and the role of supply chain to the economic development of the United States and globally on Monday, March 9.

If You’re Pressed For Time

As we know, MODEX goes all week, and some people are limited to just a couple – or even one – day at the show. If you’re pressed for time and are still deciding when or what to do, here’s a glimpse at each day of the show:

THURSDAY

The final day of the show is typically the slowest in terms of activity and events. There are 19 on-floor seminars on the day with the 10:30 a.m. slot (four) and the 12 p.m. slot (five) featuring the most.
