With the number of choices available for pallet rack suppliers, choosing the correct wire deck dimensions becomes critical.  Below are some examples of the differences in dimensions between manufacturers:

Base on a Teardrop Frame, 48″ Deep

Ridg-U-Rak
Top of Beam = 1 5/8″, Vertical Step = 1 5/8″
Wire deck channel length = 44 1/2″

Interlake / Konstant
Top of Beam = 1 3/4″, Vertical Step = 1 5/8″
Wire deck channel length = 44 1/4″

Husky
Top of Beam = 1 3/4″, Vertical Step = 1 1/2″
Wire deck channel length = 44 1/4″

Another Example:
Bill Link from Konstant recommends to ask for the “out-to-out” dimension of the beams rather than the frame depth.  “Along with competitor style structural racking, Konstant also manufactures a notched, non-welded structural bracket connection, where the dimension from the outside of the beams is 1/2″ more than the depth of the frame” says Bill.

To help our distributors alleviate many of the issues with choosing the correct wire deck, WPRP stocks a universal u-channel and flared wire deck, which fits Ridg-U-Rak, Interlake, Konstant, Speedrack and Husky standard teardrop pallet rack material.  We can also provide quotes on custom decking for Roll Form and Structural pallet rack.
